Why use the robot?  So far the Da Vinci robot renders few to no meaningful improvements in outcomes over traditional laparoscopy for benign gynecologic disease yet it is expensive and taxing to resident surgical education.  Is the Da Vinci robot just the next electronic fetal monitoring?
